Development Engineer Image Processing Aerospace & Defence (m/w/d)

In our team, you will take on the following responsibilities:

Development of complex and innovative image processing algorithms for weapon systems incorporating innovative technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence)
Creative design of image processing systems considering the properties of the sensors and the possible realization in real time on state-of-the-art high-performance hardware
Preparation of necessary development documentation and presentation of development results to internal and external customers
Validation and verification of system requirements and of developed solutions via simulation, analysis and testing, including elaboration of optimizations and alternative solutions
Preparation of studies using new technologies and standards

What we expect from you

Academic degree in mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
Profound knowledge and practical experience in the design and programming of real-time systems (e.g. GPU, FPGA, etc.) and in the C/C++ programming language
In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in the field of computer vision and image processing
Strong analytical skills to grasp problems in depth and work out solutions considering HW-, SW- and real-time aspects
Knowledge and professional experience in the technology sector of artificial intelligence and the associated tools are desirable
Fluency in English required and knowledge of German an advantage
