As part of the development of the activities at one of our clients, we are looking for a Business Analyst.

So what do you do all day?

As a Business Analyst, in R&D Belgium, you will collaborate with several analytical teams to implement a new scientific data capture and processing tool (Capture Data Workflow, CDW). You will work within the operations, interfacing also with IT developers.

CDW is an electronic laboratory notebook under development based on Agile approach, requiring flexible thinking to integrate new ways of working in the context of digitalization (data analytics). You may need to interact with US- & Italy-based teams as well.

What are your responsibilities?

Interactions with multiple analytical platforms to implement a new digital tool enabling scientific data capture and processing:

• Support digital template generation taking into account platforms technology specificities, to reach adequate data structuration
• Capture new features to be developed in the tool to meet business needs (Agile mode)
• Ensure the tool roll-out according to project milestones through regular & formalized interactions with key users in the platforms, and appropriate monitoring indicators

The work will include the following specific items:

• Training to CDW tool, and get deep understanding of its functioning
• Inventory of the existing paper-based/electronic protocols to translate in CDW tool
• Support to the teams in the creation of templates generating structured data and responding to data-integrity principles in place. A close follow-up through recurrent meeting with identified points of contact in the teams is expected, together with appropriate monitoring (KPI)
• Capture new features requested by users in a centralized and structured way
• Support the different platforms to revise their documentation management according to the new way of working linked with CDW implementation
